alright UFC 98 just ended and I'll update the thread with results and gifs in the morning.
I have to say that I was pretty disappointed with the outcomes of a couple of the fights, though.

The Results
Lyoto Machida vs Rashad Evans - Machida wins by KO in the second round and is the new Light Heavyweight Champion. Machida dominated the fight from early on, and he dropped Rashad twice before finally putting him away.

At the end of the second round, Evans gets rocked again. He was basically out on his feet, so Machida let loose a flurry of punches to finish him at 3:57 in the second round.
Hughes vs Serra - It was a very close fight, but Hughes dictated the fight for the most part. Serra dropped Hughes with an accidental headbutt in the first round, but he wasn't able to capitalize on it.

Hughes recovered fairly quickly, and won the fight by a close judge's decision.
McFedres vs Foupa-Pokam - Despite being the more technical and experienced striker, Professor X was not even able to get off a punch before being rushed by McFedres. McFedres hit him with a powerful right hook, which was the beginning of the end for Professor X.

Sonnen vs Miller - Chael Sonnen being the superior wrestler, put Dan Miller on his back and grinded away with some ground-and-pound for basically the whole fight. Sonnen won by unanimous decision.
Edgar vs Sherk - A great back-and-forth battle between two great wrestlers. Their wrestling canceled each others out, so the fight remained on the feet for the most part. Frankie Edgar's superior head movement and footwork won him the unanimous decision against the former lightweight champion.
Larson vs Pyle - Pyle was a late replacement for Larson's opponent, but he showed a lot of heart. After being taken down early in the first round, Pyle transitioned from submission attempt to submission attempt. Larson moved to mount and submitted Mike Pyle with an arm triangle at 3:06 in the first round.

Hague vs Barry - Pat Barry showed his great kickboxing by dropping Tim Hague early on with a headkick. Barry was overanxious and rushed in to try to finish the fight, which resulted in him getting taken down. When Hague took the fight to the ground, he exposed Barry's lack of groundgame and submitted him with a guillotine in the first round.

Bradley vs Nover - Nover, who was a lightweight prospect, was winning the striking game at the beginning of the fight. Nover got Bradley in the Muay Thai clinch, but Bradley shrugged him off and threw him to the ground. Bradley connected with a few shots on the ground, and the referee jumped in to stop the fight. Nover instantly sprang back to guard before the fight was stopped, which showed that he wasn't out. As a result, Bradley wins by a controversial stoppage TKO in Round 1.

Soszynski vs Gusmao - Soszynski knew about Gusmao's great groundgame, so he decided to keep the fight standing. This led to a slugfest, which resulted in Gusmao getting TKO'd in the first round.

Yoshida vs Wolff - Yoshida gets Wolff in a standing guillotine, but eventually drops down and finishes the submission from guard. Yoshida by guillotine choke in the first round.

Roop vs Kaplan - Roop wins by unanimous decision.

Skipped the gifs as I fell asleep but watching the replay in an hour.
I like Machida, I think he's a great fighter and I really can't see anyone beating him.
I heard the Serra/Hughes fight sucked? Pretty disappointing considering it's a huge grudge match.

Strung says: every time I try to join your invite, Live makes an error. Every time I make a server, some asshole joins.

Tell him to make a custom server and set the privacy settings to on and invite me.
It's not letting me join his games either.
Also, tell him I will break him.

It wasn't that bad but I was expecting more. The whole event wasn't all that great last night other than the main event. I was really disappointed that Pat Barry, Professor X, and Philippe Nover lost.

Just finished watching 98. (I'm a little slow, eh)
It was a pretty good show. Really glad to see machida win. That fight was pretty sweet. Serra/hughes fight wasn't too bad, but I really wanted Serra to finish Hughes.
I lol'd at the Mcfredries and Prof X fight.
Sherk vs Edgar was a really good match, nice boxing from Frank.
Sonnen is one boring fighter.

Machida is a class above everyone else, he is just phenomenal.
Serra/Hughes was decent, but lay and pray is boring to me.
Only two fights I watched because I was late to watching the replay.

Alright guys, so tomorrow is going to be one of the craziest MMA shows of the year. Japanese organizations love their freakshows.
Tomorrow is the start of the Super Hulk Tournament. Famous baseball player and steroid abuser Jose Canseco is taking on 7 foot 2 inch Japanese kickboxer, Hong Man Choi. Also the 6'4, 340 pound beast Bob Sapp is squaring off with the rather average sized Minowaman.
After the freakshows from the Super Hulk tournament, we have some normal fights. First there is a battle between two highly ranked lightweights in JZ Cavalcante and Tatsuya Kawajiri.
After that, we have the Featherweight Grand Prix with highly ranked Kid Yamamoto and the leg-locking machine Masakuzu Imanari in the tournament.
Finally, there is a Middleweight title fight rematch between Jason "Mayhem" Miller and one of the best Brazillian Jiu-Jitsu practioners on the planet, Ronaldo "Jacare" Souza.

Full fight card:
If your cable provider carries HDNet, you will be able to watch the fights there. If not, you can just wait for me to post the results.
