made this for my visual communications class, we had to advertise a product

i think it turned out pretty nic, but i don't like the index finger it is too long or something.

I think the problem with the index finger is that it looks like the first bone down from the knuckle is bent. Beyond that, I like it, although I confess to knowing nothing of art.

that's okay, neither does the "target audience"

it aint important to carry great arts, it's about esthetics. and everyone know's what he finds esthetic or not.
that's a big point in such advertising images.

plus i thought he (the hands rest of body) was afraid of the coffee. that's why i came up with the overpaint. you could have used motion blur etc. to make the cup look shaking, energetic.
additionally your point w'd have been clearer i guess if the cup was on a table or something. now it looks like hes moving it due to being scared.

i think it is more obvious when you've had 'coffee shakes' recently

'coffee shakes' has become a permanent part of me, so it is pretty obvious for me
