For **** sake it hasn't even been a year and already a new game? Fire ammo? As if the shotgun wasn't powerful enough, and melee weapons? WHY? Daylight? WHY. With it being day that murders the one principle of L4D, that it is dark, scary and that allows for the direction to be lit up with lights. (Developer Commentary, listen to it) NOTHING MAKES SENSE ANYMORE.

I think it would be better if they just stuck with it the TF2 way and update it regularly.

I just got off work an hour ago

Came home and eventually looked up E3 stuff

One of the headlines was "See Left 4 Dead 2's new survivors"

I was like "Oh sweet, L4D gets 2 new survivors and - HOLY SHIT IS THAT A DAYLIGHT PARIS LIKE MAP? Wait a minute, it said 2 new survivors, why is there 4? I'm pretty confident Zoey didn't turn black, Louis didn't get fat, Bill didn't get younger, and Francis didn't... shave and turn into the Scout. Wait a ****ing second, it says Left 4 Dead 2? ****ing shame"

Whatever happened to L4D getting regular updates like TF2?

Or did they mean that in an EA way, there you get updates every year for 60 bucks.

It's trolling bro. Daylight maps can't work for L4D for various reasons.

1. Few places to hide for players in versus
2. No direction pointed out by lighting
3. Scary atmosphere is gone
4. Suspense on if something is going to spring from the dark is gone.
5. Flashlights are made useless

you know there's only a couple maps set during daylight, right?

Not every campaign is set during the day, but it does make for a nice change of atmosphere.

My other points still stand.

And if it was just a couple day light maps, why not just release a new campaign for the l4d we have now?
