For the running. If you're still in testing mode, don't go so cinematic. Make sure you have those basic motions down before you try putting it into context like you did here. The walk cycle is much more important than just having it work for one situation.

Take a look at this. It may not be geared toward flash, but as a general animation tutorial, it's great for understanding the full body motion, not just the specific leg and arm elements you may be used to.
