Hi guys, i know i'm not a favourite of the art section but i'm gonna post some "art" anyway.
First of all i want to say that this is my first time using photoshop, like quite literally my first time i opened it up.
And i prefer to use real photos and muck around with them, not like filters and effects, but rather draw on them, or in them if you like.

So here's my first attempt at whatever this type of art is called. :P

oh, the picture quality is crap, and it looks so much better in photoshop. :( i'm sorry it sucks. But for some reason it's not showing the different shades of grey :/

Looks really good. The only thing is you should probably be able to see some of the black guy under water. He just stops at the water. This would be kinda hard to do though.

Character doesn't look like it's part of the environment, it needs more realism.

yeah, but it's also trying to be like it's not real :/ sort of...
I'll try fix it.

Any pic will do, except NSWF pics of course. So please, none of them. Just PM me the pic and i'll try my best :D
And you guys can even suggest characters. As long as they're not too cartoony.

I actually photoshopped ALL the shadows in there.

Wow, those are really good for a first try! I love the second one, it justs looks, great.

Fist one :
the shadows are in different directions of each other. everything seems to be alright except for those.

Second one : Shadow is un naturally long & thick.

Third : It's still un naturally long, the direction of light is actually coming from what looks like above the character, so I'm thinking his/her shadow should pretty much be a small blob.

Fourth: I don't like any of it. It all looks, a bit strange, Idk, the shadows are poining slightly to the left of the image, where as they should be pointing slightly right, according to the position of the sun. The actual trees look a bit strange themself though. Idk what's wrong with them.

If you perfected this style, it could be really nice.
