do you think it's worth the money to buy a tablet for flash?

You should have posted this in the chat thread or something. It's not worth a thread.
But if you're dedicated on animating and you know you wont give up afterwards, go for it.

If you like drawing and if you see yourself spending a lot of time animating then sure, go for it.

Give up.

The odds of making a living off of animating in flash are billions to one. Better off learning actionscripting and general programming.

Who said anything about making a living off of it?

And even if that were the case, that is a gross exaggeration. As long as you have fresh, interesting ideas, you should have no problem making a living off of flash.

Ultimately it would likely move to other things though. Bigger programs or what have you.

Tablets are useful, buy one.

Actually this post inspired me to get a new tablet since mine is an old, discontinued, pile.

That is the one I have purchased. Lots of good reviews... look into it.

Well, the tablet you're getting has the same active area as mine, and I'm fully comfortable with it.

Got any artwork anywhere that I can see?

Most of my art that I do is the full size of a sheet of paper.

I only use my tablet when I'm in flash and I need a particular curve that I can't achieve with my mouse. Apart from that I find the mouse useful enough. Though my avatar was completely done with my tablet..
