The only thing I see wrong, is in the reflection of the silver ball, it makes the red ball look, VERY far away. But I'm not an artist, so good job!

I would add some grain of something to the ball because it's inhumanly shiney

For that wooden material if you add the wood.jpg or whatever to your bump slot as well it'll make it look mo real.

Thanks, um CGIllusion, can you send me a link to a good bump mapping tutorial. Having trouble with it :/.

i would add a background. it takes away the realism you're going after.

No man I don't know any tutorials; google is your best bet.
Bout bump mapping, there's nothing to it. Just click drag your diffuse map to the bump slot and turn up the value. Can't really give you a better answer if I don't know the specifics of your problem.
This is just an extreme comparison shot.

My friend looked over on the screen and asked if it was real.
Good job, I think.

Also, smooth out the drop shadows, they look like they're pixels, which takes away from the realism.

Ok, thanks for the cc guys, also CGillusion, i think im getting a better grasp of this bump mapping. Finaly, i tried reactor for the first time, just a ball going through a wall of boxes, ill post it later.
