So it's about my sound. Don't think I'm stupid, I've turned all the volumes up and it's still about just the half of what my laptop could do before. I can only hear music clearly if I'm sitting by the computer. I've also tried some music HD settings, turned all the speakers up, which made the sound improve a little, but it's still pretty silent.

I know my sound died suddenly while I was listening to the music, I haven't fiddled with my setting or anything. I'm clueless and I really don't know what to do. Any helpful tips?

hmmm... I'm not sure, but could it be a blown speaker? or possibly an electrical problem.

I don't know, haven't exposed my computer to water or anything. MY brother tried different electric sockets and it was still the same.

It died so suddenly.

EDIT: Soundcard? But the computer is just 6 moths old. Can it be?

It is possible your soundcard could be dying, just not very likely.

It is highly likely that it's either of these two: your sound card or the sound output (speaker). Have you tried restarting for a few times to see if it will work? If not, then try to listen music via headphones; is it clear or experiencing problems as well. If it is, then try to return your laptop to where you bought it. It's just six months and after some testing you can get a warranty for it if the sound card is broken
