That is odd looking to me, I need to stop watching unrealistic anime girls. lol
Yeah it looks a lot more realistic than anything I have seen for a while. But the shading threw it off to me, it seems a little too shaded, other than that I like it.
Also remember the time stw you and I drew in I scribble? Then everyone said mine sucked but that was because I didn't have the blur tool and I was using a mouse? Those were the good old days. lol

The nose and the eyes look a bit big. The effect you did with the hair fading made it look a little odd.

Lol yeah, them days. I remember. Neither of us had the blurr tool.

The eyes? Yeah, I'm gonna fix the image's left IRIS today. I've noticed that's off, otherwise the eyes are in poportion

You should layout the head first and put a decent outline to it.
Use mirrors from time to time (hold your picture in front of one and take a deep look, that'll reveal A LOT of flaws).
And don't overshade like that. Usually such photos are in a quite diffuse light situation. I'd always start shading the soft parts.
All in all it looks okayish.
