How about when the main good guy goes through, like, a week of training and is able to take down a shitload of heavily armed highly trained foot soldiers?

Ooo, another one. Simple. The "Odd Couple" mantra... like in the film of that title, or other films like Lethal Weapon, Starsky & Hutch, Beverly Hills Cop, etc. etc.

The matrix anyone? 5 minutes of training = infinite body count

Anyway, I like super cliche titles.

How about in the sequels when the main character gets buddies?

Or in regards to the training thing, when the main character always wants to step into battle early all headstrong and shit, but his mentor tells him he's not ready yet.

Cleverly disguised sequel titles, too.

The first movie called Alien
The second movie called Aliens

Also, Left 4 dead

I find it funny how in space battles/travel/everything, there is always a definite up and down; all the ships obey this rule and are rotated the right way, and solar systems are like a 2-D plain. Movie space battles are like those of submarines; you can move in any direction, but there is always a definite up. In real space, there wouldn't be, and ships would enter battles with their cockpits all facing different directions.

Solar systems are in a flat plane usually in real life, actually. It's becasue they form out of rotating balls of gas, and a rotating object only has one axis.

Kidnappers telling the relatives not to involve the police and then not knowing when said relatives either do that or have already done that.

That reminds me, scenes after the credits that reveal to you that the bad guy isn't really dead. Also resulting in sequels.
