Have you told your parents you are, and if you did how did you do it?

Personally, no. My Mom was raised catholic. Not a strong religious person but I don't like taking chances. My Dad is pretty cool and I think he is since I listen to a lot of George Carlin and he's atheist and my Dad was talking about Penn from Penn & Teller and said something along the lines of "And he's really cool because he's an atheist, so he isn't biased".

My mom is atheist, but she was born Christian. Like, super-Christian. She became atheist after I was born. Yes. Really.

My dad is Christian, but he's been with my mom for 14 years. (Still not married.) I think he's really atheist but doesn't want to tell his dad.

Everyone knows I'm an atheist, and no,I'm not telling my mom. Or family. I hid my copy of The God Delusion in an empty box that once held a 3D Veloceraptor skeleton.

Well, i talk to my friends about it. I've told my mom that we need an atheist president. I told teachers and students about abortion and atheist president and shit. But I am still a christian, but i lack a lot of faith as you can see. And i don't believe in some things, such as people calling themselves christians and say G**damn in public and stuff in which i never say, but it pisses me off, if your going to be something be it, dont do it to make yourself look better.

It was a slow transformation from christian to atheist for me, and I openly told my parents about it. And for how crazy christian they are, They seemed pretty nonchalant about it, now I often debate my mom on the bible and other related things.

I honestly don't know, I've been raised as a christian, but i personally could not give less of a flying **** about religion in it's entirety... and no my parent does not know...

I'm not atheist, I am not Christian. I am uninvolved in religion. Religion seems to complicate things in this world. I believe there is a greater force out there, but I am not a Christian, Catholic, Jew, Musslim, Towel-Head, any mix or any other.
