AI - Art Institute. Its the school I want to go to.
It cost ~18,000 a year to go in the field I'm interested in, and it goes for 3 years.
If I round down what I make a year to a very low and reasonable amount for what I would pay for college, It'd be roughly 7,800
The school is year round, and its setup to where you go to each class your in for 4 hours a day, each class only once a week, and you can have it where you do 2 classes one day, and the other 2 the next day. I would be able to keep my hours at work and still go to school.
I have a few friends that have grants (and not only graduated late, but got a SHIT LOAD of failed classes when they went to regular school. My record is a lot better than this) and it took off roughly 5,000-6,000 for them
18,000 - 5,000 = 13,000
13,000 - 7,800 = 5,200
Now, they have rich parents. Retired ones and ones that are willing to pay for that shit while neither of them have jobs themselves.
My parents aren't like that. I'm going to be living back here, not have to worry about rent anymore (since they're rule is if your in school, you don't need to pay them to stay here) but they don't give any of me and my brothers a dime for school. We have to do that on our own.
I'm looking at student loans as a very worst case scenario, since I've already experience with that (a few friends of mine and also my oldest brother, who graduated college 6 years ago and is STILL paying off loans)
And going to this school would just be perfect, its right around here, it has all the courses I could need, and its the only one around here thats year around so I could keep my hours at work.
I would much rather not wait another damn year before college, so this is something I've been trying to look at for a while and want to get done before the year starts.
God damn you life!
Why is college such a bitch

That sounds like getting a blow job, but it ends up she is using her teeth.
At any rate I myself would like to get into a nice college.

No her own student loans. I don't have any siblings who're old enough to worry about college.

Well thats ****ing terrible
And why I don't want to deal with it, and if I have to, then it will be because its a small loan
I'll go and contact the school Saturday when I actually have time off

Bah, thats how it is for most people. I'm going to work for a year before uni then head off, I'll get a student loan and will be paying bout the same + rent. It sucks but hey you get an education out of it.

And yet, if you ask my brother, his education doesn't mean jack shit, especially right now.

Yeah, it expensive as hell. Especially since to get into some of the good schools I want to go to, I pretty much have to take summer school classes, which can cost up to £2500.
