I am making the main character in Prototype, this will be my first big art.
Keep in mind it is still unfinished, the reason I am posting this is
only so people may make suggestions and criticisms as to where I should continue the art from here.
EDIT: Added background and fixed minor character art.
EDIT2: Added more tentacle details and made the gradient more defined.
EDIT3: Added claws and blurred out the city.

View Profile You seem rather good at vector art.
Carry on.

View Profile Mind telling us what's supposed to be coming out of his back? It might be easier to help if we know what you're up to.
Are you going for the tendril devastator or some kind of bat wings?

Don't sharp tentacle like things come out of him in the game?

View Profile I liked it better without the background.
Or take the things on his back.
Because them both don't match.

Ya they do.
The problem is that you're only using one brush stroke per tendril. So my advice would to be that you should do multiple interweaving brushes that are close together to make up a tendril. You know, with the black-red-dark purple color scheme.
That's the most identifiable part of prototype's art style.
edit: oh, btw. As for what wtf said: perhaps make a gradient over the background that fades to black behind Alex. Like a 0%-15% (black)-0% linear.

I took that advice to consideration and did the following:

Better?

View Profile Sweet, it now has some more of that dark feeling Prototype has.
Although there's some colors that seem a bit too bright, it looks nice so far.

View Profile Yes, even tough you want to make him your central piece, he's way too bright to blend with the picture.

View Profile I love it so far. You should add some light sources in the background.
Another thing you could test out is make some small squares and rectangles curving around him that are alpha'd and blurred. To kind of give off a feeling that he is powerful.
You could try adding some fancy text to.
Maybe stick a helicopter in that background that has a spot light pointing at him. That way it gives meaning to the light shading you put on him.
