i found a homebrew app for my DS to make anims, and it can save as .AVI and i just found an awesome converter for Avi to GIF!!!
FB Anims, Here i come!!

don't feel so discouraged :P BTW you need a flash card in order to get the animating thing i have.
unfortunatly, FlashCards are illegal because you are not only able to dload homebrew games, but REAL games that are copyrighted(Which i dont do. Ive only actually dloaded the games i previously bought just so i can take all of my real games with me in one card) HomeBrew games on the other hand, are not illegal, because as the name states... "Home"Brew ...means that the games are made at home by people that are NOT assigned to buisenesses like Nintendo, therefor no copyright on the games.
you can, however, buy a flash card from crystal mall in vancouver or you can buy it over the web and get it shipped from korea or china or sumthing.

lol I felt that one, yesterday. I got a new comp now! Sure its econd hand and runs windows XP but I'm sure you can all agree, its better than 2000.
