I usually used macromedia but i heard adobe flash has a bone tool of some sort and i researched a little..the bone tool makes it seem a lot easier to animate with.
So should i switch to adobe flash or stick with macromedia?
cause i dont know if adobe has filters for blur or glow..
adobe flash or macromedia?

Adobe bough Macromedia after flash 8 was released so its actually the same program, just with more features and new shit.

I've heard the bone tool ****s up the part you selected pretty badly, making you redraw it. Most people prefer Macromedia Flash 8 over Adobe's CS series probably because of the larger brush sizes, and the fact that AS3 is supposedly "weird."
I don't have a preference myself, but I honestly think if you're gonna get Flash for it's bone tool, you might as well download Pivot.

AS3 is a bitch to learn, leaving it at that.

The bone tool doesn't work as well as it should, and doesn't work for line animating. The layout for CS4 is pretty weird, too.

Beh AS3 isn't that bad to learn. Just a bit more finicky.

You can still use the better AS2 on Cs3. That's what I have.

I have flash cs4 and its awesome, you can use As2 with it as well. There's a reason its newer, becuase theve made advances in it otherwise they wouldnt release a new version of it.

AC3 is far superior to AS2, people only say it is bad because they are afraid of its power

Probably, but when we just want to program a timeline button, we're used to AS2.

Eh, bone tool seems like a fairly useful tool, if anything it simplifies things.
I always redrew my stick figures when I was animating, save certain slow motion sequences which because a series of tweens but... idk, if I get back into it again some of the new features seem pretty interesting.
It seems like they are working towards tools that are already available in other programs particularly with 3d animation software..
Interesting stuff.
