Okay, I know this mightn't be the place for this but yeah.

This is going to be a competition to get the scripters/coders here something to do. I will set a task and then who ever wants to will write a script that executes the task.
i.e. Task, make a dot follow a square shape. Someone would do so, then they send me the .fla via a PM. Then after a set time I will finish the round and post the winning script.

The winning script will be judged on a combination of the following.
1. It works
2. It is an elegant solution, i.e. not spaghetti coding here.
3. It is fairly compact.

I will start this once I get some more people into it.

Contenders
1. Steyene (Me)
Solution:
[SWF="http://filebox.me/files/pys1hckc3_Random_movement.swf"]Height=200 Width=300[/SWF]
2. CronosXIII
3. Bonk
4. CGIllusion
Solution
[SWF="http://filebox.me/files/ajqiv7v1a_RandomPa.swf"]Height=400 Width=400[/SWF]
5.Scarecrow
Solution

6.Scorpioxxx
7.dos
8.
9.
10.

There is no limit to people, and you can submit multiple solutions, but the last one is the one that will be judged

TASK 1

To make an object follow a random path around the screen. Bonus points for making the object change color.

Due. Once the last person submits there, or until nothing else happens.

I'm a bit rusty but sign me up as long as the deadline isn't too steep.

Is this some cleverly veiled way to get people to do your coding for you?

@Bonk. Nope, I just want to see what sorts of skills are kicking round here. To de-rust the people who know somewhat what they are doing

Okay so this doesn't die, lets start.

Task. To make an object that follows a random path around the screen. Everything has to be done via AS. THIS INCLUDE THE CREATION OF THE OBJECT.

Once done pm me. The best script will be published unless you ask me not to.

Here is mine.

After a while your ball gets stuck on a single point on the Y-axis. I had this window minimized for a bit and the counter reached 9000+

Done mines, I was thinking of using points as well but it's all good.
