You do realize that a proper architecture and working developer tools makes creating games a lot easier? Which means it's more tempting to makes games for that platform. Which means you get more good games. And that's literally all that matters.

Yeah, I doubt valve will be putting the effort required into making ports of their games anymore after the orange box's failure. Still, some companies are able to make it work, and while there aren't that many games it seems like for the ps3, a lot of them look good to me at least

Their are tons of great ps3 exclusives, tons more coming and tons of developers willing to work with it. I'm fine with how it is. Who wants SPACE MARINES developers anyways? you xbots can have those shitty games.

I'm not saying the PS3 doesn't have good games, quite the contrary; I enjoy my ps3 and its games very much. What I mean is that you probably should care about something like working developer tools, because they give you more of those awesome games you love.

I dont see how? If they don't make them for the ps3, they make them for the 360, and thus by looking at the library of the 360 and wii, I can see the games that could have been made for the ps3 and I dont want them there. I dont need any of the 360 games on my ps3, I think its perfectly fine with the games it has and the developers it has.

And since when are Valve and id not makers of good games? Last I checked, Valve hasn't had a single failure in their company's history.

Why would you prefer getting some good games when you could get MORE good games? I'm not saying that the 360 is a better console just because it is easier to coax power out of it, I'm simply DEFENDING it. It's not like ever console is either 100% good or 100% terrible. The PS3 has flaws that you need to acknowledge if you are intellectually honest, and so does the 360, but you need to focus on actual flaws, not flaws in the straw-man you've concocted. Likewise, the PS3 has certain superior aspects, as does the 360.

I have valves games on my computer, sure they are fun, but I have them for my computer...I dont need or care for them on my ps3, I wouldn't play them there. I particularly dont care about ps3 users either, they can play half life 2 on a calculator, no need to have it on the ps3.

It doesnt come with HDMI cables, but neither does the 360 elite, which makes its HMDI port (1/2 main features) Useless. Jesus christ man, get all the facts before posting. And it doesnt make the bluray player useless, it still has functionality for games, making it able to store 4 times more data on a BDdisk than a regular xbox game disk.

I'm talking about the Tv movie quality idiot. Like I said, I'm confused now in the edit.

But I'm doubting now about buying the slim, it can't play ps2 games apparently which is stupid imo, since I have ton of those. But then again I do have a ps2 so hm. But I'll buy it anyways cause its better then the thick one apparently. And something about using way less watt, and that was good I heard so yea.

Its all about accessibility, variety of good games, graphics and how much free time you have on your ass. Gotta have a good flat screen too.
