Ok to start this topic I want to ask...
Do you think there is a beginning of time?
and if there was
What whould mark that, like the creation of the universe?
But i was just wondering, could there really have been a beginning of time?
Is there a beginning of time?

If there is a beginning of time there must also be an end of time. But I believe that there is no end of time because, lets say this universe were explode. like a supernova occurs setting off one sun after another or something similar that leaves nothing behind. Nothing but a black hole. Time would technically end then because life ends and there is no way to measure time. But if a black hole exists then the universe would slowly rebuild itself from the pieces. Life comes back and time resumes. Time I don't think exists in the first place, only our perception of it. If we went thousands of years doing nothing but sleeping. When we wake up we would think it was the morning of the next day of when we first went to sleep.
Time does not exist, it is not tangible. Therefore there is no beginning and no end.

No. If God exists, then time is infinite, no beginning and no end, because God has always been. If that's the kind of thing you believe in.

Why would having a beginning mean there must be an end?
I'm thinking of a sequence of the natural numbers, of course. They start at 1. But there is no end.

Time does exist. It's another dimension to the universe. There are debates over whether it's the fourth dimension or an even higher dimension, but it does exist. The thing that makes time an illusion for humans is that we think it goes by at the rate that we see it no matter what, but other viewers would see it as moving more slowly or more quickly, and time itself is able to be bent and manipulated, so in the sense that we think we know how quickly something happens in absolute terms, yes it is an illusion. But time is not an illusion. If it were not real, then how are we moving? We're obviously not frozen in place in a three-dimensional sculpture of the universe, so if time doesn't exist, how can we move? The only answer is that there is another dimension to the universe that we can't directly sense.

Time = Rate of change.

You know, it really doesn't matter if there was a beginning, or there will be an end, what matters is the present, that we are here today and thats that.
