Car attacked by wolves? lololol you're very imaginative.

Anyways I'm stuck and this project isn't going anywhere. If anyone knows how to do rigid body physics / collisions then pm me.

about the wolves ... whats wrong with it !? the wolfes will jump on the car and start slicing ... the ride must do a "shake burst" (another ... hell ... move : reverse-gas-reverse-gas ) so the wolfes will go off . the wolfes deals damage ...


and , add this one to "iceland" : ice bridge , there are waters below ... If the car fall . bang . frozen X(

and for bali , add some wafes (attaking the beach ) that should pull some cars into the sea and end the riders surfing

FOR ONE THING: The wolve's teeth would never get through the metal of a car. Same thing for their claws. Also, a racing game is not a fighting game, and it does not have special moves. There's just you driving really fast, and your weapons.
But to stay on topic, ask axcho about collisions. He's an expert at physics.

The wolfes is a "wenodushi" a legendary wolf colony (didn't you recognize it from the first I said 'iceland' and 'wolfs' ???)

No brainstick I don't need full body tutorials, I need to program rigid bodies. Not the same thing but thanks.

axcho informed me about box2d so I'll be looking into that

The demo is boring,all you do is drive a car around and shoot it.Add some other cars to it .Make it a demotion derby so you can shoot other cars and you win like that.

Thinking the same way , and add a garage feature so you can upgrade your guns and cars

It's a simple tech demo, it's not supposed to be fun it's just supposed to be a proof of concept sort of thing. Features will be added once the core game is ready.

Speaking of demo, here's another really boring and rudimentary demo for you. Basically I had to learn a good portion of the box2d API to be able to do this, which took a long ass time. This is the rigid body interaction I was talking about before; once I merge this code with my other code you will actually be able to ram an enemy, spin him out with the PIT maneuver, crash into walls, crates, ect. It's really buggy if you constantly accelerate into a car but I will fix this later once I implement it into my other code.


Controls :
left right arrow to turn. left shift to accelerate. Try and ram the other car.

Game is back on track, programming is coming along nicely.

Need a dedicated person to trace cars mainly, and do other art such as muzzle flash effect and isometric drawing for race tracks (if you can).
Asking random people isn't working out, I will need someone who wants to be
a part of this project.

If anyone is interested pm me your email and examples of work, so I can get a feel for what you can do.

I probably won't be updating this thread anymore.
