I've heard it's good, but that it has too many dead points (long, unnecessary dialogue etc.)..?

Can anyone tell me, is it what I am expecting from this trailer:

That being some film about some mercenaries just roaming around and scalping Nazis?

That's Quentin Tarentino trademark.
But he actually gets somewhere with those dialogues, au contraire of like those shitty directors that put long dialogues in their movies because they feel smart doing so.
The first scene.
You are going to love it.

Like all of Tarantino's best work, this film defies classification. If you go into theis movie with any expectation but that it will be good and have the most well-written dialogue in film, then your expectations will be shattered, for better of for worse.
Just don't think about it. See the ****ing movie.

I predict an Academy Award for best script.

I regret seeing it. Not because it was bad but because I saw a shitty version of it without subtitles.
However the parts I saw looked great. Wish I'd have waited for the DVD though...

You watched it without subtitles? Then 80% of the movie must have made absolutely no sense. Horrid idea.
It's worth the $8 to go see it in the theaters.

I'm 15.
Also, I got the general gist and skipped a lot of it. I'll wait until it comes out on DVD.

God damn, I didn't think they even made prints of the film with no subtitles.

How is that relevant?

This is the first movie in a while that I didn't think Brad Pitt detracted from the movie.

They can't go see it unless they're 18.

I really enjoy Tarantino's dialogues. Sure, they weren't "necessary" but a lot of the stuff wasn't, I think it just added a lot to the whole experience.
Excellent film.

Out here you have to be 16 to go see it.
Also I think that the fact that everyone talked their mother tongue added much more realism. You know, in the Quentin way.
And I really don't understand this adversion Americans have with subtitles.

Subtitles help if someone is talking unclearly sometimes imo.
I don't know what's the age limit here. I'm 19 anyway so I don't care.
