Bit choppy and I'm not really sure what's going on in either of them :S.

A bit choppy. The first one is more choppy than the second one, and it lacked easing. Both of them were way too fast.

I think slow it down and take the time to finish each movement properly. Throw some easing in there.

This isn't DD, and we're all skeptical of ranks.

http://www.stickpageportal.com/forums/showthread.php?t=103377

Although, keep practicing realism

PS: Where can you download the stick you used, the one in your sig.

It is pyromecha's base right?

Good, good. Pretty nice anim. Just one question: how long were you at school?

[Points at rank and user title]

The ranks that people give you are based on how good your animation looks at the end rather than how difficult they are to make which is ridiculous. Example; my walk is rated med-high beginner by DD, while this they call interz. The walk was much harder to make and is a more technically correct animation.

(I'm talking about your lower animation btw, the top one was nearly perfect) If you're aiming for realism you still need to ease. Things do not simply change direction just like that. It may be necessary to animate at 50fps and flash it but you need to get the easing in there or it just won't look right.

Lol Zed, people in DD are ranking me High beginner and below.

Check it: http://www.darkdemon.org/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=59008 (look at the poll results)

Im starting to think the people in DD are just plain retarted.

Well, if someone thinks that you are worse than a low beginner, then I'm sure he is retarded.
Should I join DD (even if there are just retarded guys) ?

Hmm, the main problem is, that people there are harsh as **** and will only fairly rank you if you are VIP or have 1000 + posts.

Apart from that its good practice. Since everyone there does pivot, you will generally learn alot, and gain respect. You can either post your animations in your own thread or in the freestyle animation section.

You generally get better feedback in the freestyle area.
