I think that the reason we enjoy and allways have enjoyed violance is because it appeals to our animalian instincts. I mean when we lived in caves we would have to fight for survival and this is still in our DNA.

And it is the same with all creatures on earth. there has ALWAYS been some sort of compatition between creatures. ever since we were bacteria.
And without it the earth wouldn't be the same. I do not agree in things like the pointless wars like viatnam or WW1 were thier was mass destruction. but without violance itsself there would be no peace. As a famous roman general once said "if you seek peace, prepare for war."
