We had to do a debate to day in Forensics/Street Law about the US Patriot Act and my group had to argue on the cons of it. We won, but that's a different story.

Anywho, what your place on sneak and peek warrants? I don't really have much of a problem with them because if people knew before hand that they were getting searched then they would tamper with the evidence.

theres always that argument of "If you're not doing anything illegal, you don't have anything to worry about"
Though I still think the "Patriot" act is pretty bullshit.

Yeah, most of it's stemmed off of racial profiling and it was all put together, like, a couple weeks after the terrorist attacks. I hate the fact that the government seems to think these Al-Qaeda guys are some kind of super villains or something. As if they've never seen someone held hostage before.

Well maybe you have things in your house that aren't necessarily illegal, but you don't want people to find them.

If a law enforcement officer were to find something like that in your house, it's not like they would make it known or anything. They go in there looking for evidence linking you to terrorism or whatever crime you're suspected of, not a way to publicly humiliate you.

The leaders of our country sat down at a table and discussed ways to breach the constitution. One of them felt sick and got up to take a crap. He came back with the patriot act.
