I hate it when people who have been gone for centuries come back because then I barely remember them.

:(

Well, my story, put short.

2005: I was some random fag with barely any knowledge of the english language.

2006: I was a slightly known fag with some knowledge of the english knowledge and a bizarre sense of humor. I also was one of the first to migrate from regular StickPage to StickPagePortal.

2007: I began becoming a veteran, although since I don't animate nor enjoy stick animation, that wasn't precisely fast. Around the end of the year, I left, dramatically.

2008: I returned for a while, left.

2009: Apparently I came back twice.

conspiracy?

Is it just me...or can that pretty much sum up most members here? Maybe not the leaving and returning part for some.

Well, I just came out of the shower, and I realized what I owe to StickPage.

1) Stickpage taught me the english language. Sounds stupid? Well, my english classes at school pretty much sucked, and videogames just pretty much taught me basic dialogue. On Stickpage, I actually learned how to write on english fluently, what to say, what's the structure, grammar. How to not write like the immigrant that I am.

2) It got me into programming. How? Hard to tell, maybe it was actionscript, and stuff. But the thing is, that's what I study in college, that's what I dedicate myself with, and the passion for it, I owe it to Stickpage.

3) It got me into internet community and roleplaying. While not necessarily a good thing, it's something that I enjoy, and I wouldn't really have even thought of getting into that kinda stuff if I hadn't found stickpage on the first place.

4) It taught me how to debate, and to debate good. Like, wow, my skills at getting a point across magnified with Stickpage's debate forum.

And I really haven't ever thought about it, but I have never thanked anyone for it. I've called it shit, I've called it the best, but never actually thanked such a community for receiving me.

Guess it's about time then. I thank you StickPage, I thank you for all the memoirs, the good times, the bad times, I have so much people to thank, but I guess they don't care about me anyway.

I'm not saying goodbye, although, when this visit ends, I swear you all this, the next time I come back, it's when I'm either rich or successful.

And no, I don't mean never.

You did something other than roleplay that was pretty cool, I forget what it was, but it was pretty cool so good job on that. Also you're a good debater.
See you in a year or two.

SPP is pretty much "The Internet for Dummies". Well, you get that from any forum. This forum is just friendlier than most. Probably because the majority of the people here that dictate to other members only have on thing on their side; Join date.
So you don't really feel inferior at all on this site.

Anyway, Hey Big Bang, nice to see old members that left come back and not act like they're superior.

I remember you as what was essentially a failed troll. But it seems you've straightened out. Thanks for dropping in.

And you're welcome for teaching you English and such.
