how do you pronounce melee? the dumb way or the right way?

First obviously .

sometimes i say it the 1st way, sometimes i say it the last way

in tf2 i always hear people say "mee lee only!"
so ****ing annoying

I stick with the dumb way.

Mee lee, because I'm not English and that's the only way I've ever heard people saying it.

Where did the term Melee even come from, it sounds so unorthodox.

i usually say it maylay.

I'm surprised you don't have "meh lee" up there. Never heard any one say mee lee before.

When I first played SSBM, I always pronounced it May Lee. Now, I pronounce it May Lay.

May Lay all the way.

Or perhaps MuhLAY.
