View Profile I really like the values.. where you have left the white areas though makes it appear flat. I would suggest you just make the white areas a real light shade of the gray you are using. Oh and I feel like if you remove the face outline you would same sense of the face without the dark outline which kind of destroys the 3D effect of the values.
Seeing as you critiqued my last self portrait.. would you mind doing my latest?

View Profile Thanks PC, yes you're right about the outlines considering the depth. I just added them during the process... don't know why exactly. I guess I wanted to have clear apportionment and some kind of comic-look maybe.
I won't have the time to critizise your new portrait today. To be honest when i just took a look at it, I thought it would be the old one :O ... But I do not mind speaking out my thoughts about it later/in a few days.
EDIT: Wait... haha, I actually DID look at your old portrait xD
Nevertheless, what I just said obtains.
EDIT2: no it doesn't obtain. I already overpainted it :D
