If it weren't for the GFC we would currently be doing $1US for under $1Au. But no, we got knocked back about 20/30 cents.

Yeah, I noticed the rising dollar on the news. When was the last time we actually surpassed the USD? I know we were in this situation late 2008 early 09.

You would have a better time finding an elephant in asia.

Also considering Australia.

Australians have a higher life expectancy than the United states.
Australians have a lower infant mortality rate.
Australians have a lower unemployment rate.
Australia contains less people living with HIV/Aids
Australia and United states have an equal literacy rate.

And we supply quite alot of your uranium. So, yeah.

You may beg to differ, but I believe Australia has equal living standards to USA.
