How where you introduced to animation???
I was at my friends house when he showed me a shitty youtube-class pivot of a guy shooting another guy...
I just took off from there

Implying that his pivots aren't shitty youtube-class pivots.

Was bored after playing Runescape a few years ago and my friend directed me to www.stickpage.com. Was interested in the games for a while and soon, I was lead to newgrounds. That's when I found out that animations aren't generated by large corporations, but by individuals such as myself!

I was browsing stickpage bi-daily and loved the content. I saw everything on the site except for the forums. I had no idea what forums even were. I just thought it was something sites did that I'd learn about later. One day late 2005 I decide to click the forum button to find out what it is and joined as Marcopolo. After that I learned how I could animate and went from there.
I'm SP bred entirely. I still use the term fullbody instead of animation and I say animation instead of stickfigure animation.

Rather large history I suppose, but I'll try and shorten it.
One day in about 3rd grade, I went to my friend's house who was about 3 years older then me. We got into the discussion about Sonic the Hedgehog, and he told me stuff about forums that are dedicated to it and they make imaginary characters and such. I got really into it, and after a while I got into this phase for like 3 years. That was when forums were introduced to me. After a while, I lost interest and somehow decided to learn how to make flash games. I googled up some flash tutorials, and that led me to a forum which I forgot the name of. There, I saw some stick figure animations by a guy named Kang-ho. I was interested, and he directed me to his new forum, Flash Fusion or something. There I met other animators, like Byondrage, Aklemo, etc. That forum died, and they kept referencing "Stick Page Portal". I decided to check it out, and join as a member. And...so forth.

A long time ago, I was maybe 4, my brother made a crap flipbook of a stick skateboarder. It was so cool to me! I made my own for a while. I discovered pivot when I was about 8, then easytoon, stykz, and flash!

I had been looking at stickpage stuff for a while, and I was reallly enjoying what I saw. I was wondering what the forums were so I clicked on "stick forums" And boom. I became an animator.

as an impressionable teen i loved the stick figure movies and games that were supplied by stickpage, i thought they were the shit. i had seen the link to forums but i had no idea what they were, so i just didnt click it. eventually my dad caught me playing these games and pirated me a copy of mx flash 2004 and told me thats what all the pros use to make flash games and movies. i was ecstatic, and immediatly scribbled stick figures all over it with no real idea of how to animate. that immediatly blew my self confidence in animation to bits, so i gave up. a few months later at school i was taught how to motion tween in flash in an ict lesson, and i picked this up really quick. i then noticed i could create a blank keyframe instead of a real keyframe, and then my thought process worked out the whole concept of frame by frame animation. i was over the moon, suddenly i knew how to animate! i spent quite a while animating stick figure death over stick figure death until i was browsing stickpage one day and the portal had just come up. wow, a place where i could show off my animations to the whole world! i submitted a few animations, they got a really low score and i was sad for a while, but i didnt give up! someone in a comment on one of my movies referenced me to the tutorial section of the forum and it kicked off from there.

When we got our first internet connection, when I was like .. 14, the guy at the company set up our homepage as BestSite4U or something. It had a link to various sites, including Newgrounds. My brother showed me some Xiao Xiao and Joe Zombie animations so I kept looking for more such like these. Thus I stumbled upon Stickpage.
Haven't joined the forum for like 8 months or something though.

Eh, stickpage was the shit when I was little (and still decent today). I remember I went to the forums early 2004 but was scared of the dangers of the internet so I quickly went back to the front page.
Then I remembered it later and joined.
