Why not tell kids that santa exists? It makes kids try to be good (other kids, i was far too lazy.. :D), and it adds to the magical experience for the ones young enough to believe.

I believe we should. It made it a little more magical for me, and I honestly can't see how it could harm anyone. What are your views?

Lies are bad; you don't lie to your children then expect them to tell YOU the truth when they're older. The more bullshit you feed them the better they get at thinking of bullshit to feed you!
