Some searching on the internet led me to the theory that this is the release date for the upcoming film adaptation of World War Z, which, if you don't know, is the single greatest zombie novel ever written by far and you should all read. IMDB lists the release date of WWZ as 2010, and Wikipedia points to there having already been reasonable progress towards the adaptation, with one script available and another being written.

I was also directed to some high-quality fan trailers for the film, utilizing footage from other films in the genre.
