How they just focus on the bad parts of good things.
The internet was made by the army for an easier way to communicate.
Then increased in popularity and was used for other things.
Without the internet we wouldn't be able to have the following things:

Microsoft, the biggest example.
A world wide community, this makes it possible to talk to anyone with just a press of the keyboard. Making the globe 'Flat' as people call it now.
Youtube, which has many times, allowed criminals to get caught with the ability for anyone (including police) to post videos.
Porn, without the internet, the porn industry would either be dead, or having a low sale amount.
Up to date news, were instantly, you can have the latest news in communities, video games, movies, etc.

Life:

This kid killed this kid because she was alive and then everyone else knew about it because they were all alive.

I think we should end life as we know it so this won't happen again.

Frankly, I thought it was pretty messed up what those bitches did.
But the second thought I had when I heard this was, "Oh, shit. I'll bet they'll link it to video games and/or the internet."

It's sort of funny, really, because there is no one who can shut down the internet. Whole continents can't shut down the internet.
Why bother blaming something that can't really be "fixed"? You'll just end up with a lot of angry people.
