Members: 109,656 And not even half of them post. And I know the majority of them are not bots, because there would be alot more advertising. But I do know a good portion of them are 8 - 12 years of age who played the game "Stick War" and signed up because they thought it was awesome. So I'm asking, why do we have so many inactive members? Isn't there a way they just get deleted after a certain amount of inactivity or time? Or can't you guys just send PM's (even though it would be a cluster **** of them, probably too many to fit in you're PM boxes. Not to mention the amount of time it would take) to every member, and whoever responds doesn't get deleted? Wait, nah, scratch that. Couldn't you just send out emails, and wait for a response? Or even just delete the members who you deem "inactive"? Just really wondering how it got to be so many inactive members.

It happens because nobody wants to do such a terrible amount of work for such an unworthy cause. Case closed.

When you say "not even half", what you mean is "less than 2%". And an automatic system to delete an account if it still has 0 posts after a week wouldn't be bad imo. It would free up some usernames.

its a little neurotic isn't it? i mean their not doing any harm there and plus your not going to register under a new user name so you don't need the names

I might want a name change one day. And new members with a load of numbers irritate me a little.

How does deleting accounts help? There not doing anything, and their not harming anyone. And deleting wont help at all. So...meh.

There are a lot of people that come back after a long time of inactivity or come back to this site realizing that they've signed up awhile ago and begin to post. But I suppose in that case, they could just sign up again.

I agree, there *should* be a system that deletes inactive accounts, but will there ever be? Probably not.

I guess it might just be O.C.D. Because it irks the hell out of me.

Once again, probably has to do with O.C.D. But don't you find it annoying have a bunch of space taken up by inactive members? And why would you want it to look good to advertisers? Last thing we need is them.

Eh I think a auto deleting system for accounts is.... yes and no. They aren't harming anyone but again it will free names so people don't get pissed about not having their name of choice.
<----- I didn't really want mine, I tried about 7 usernames before this one .

So there. I got a new sig and avatar!
