I have seen this movie twice already and I found it brilliantly entertaining. This is probably the most fun I have had in a movie in a long time. RDJ does a great job at portraying Holmes and I really liked how the movie flowed perfectly. I would definitely recommend seeing it. Thoughts?

Saw it today.
Don't listen to all the shit people say about it:
a) It's not gay.
b) It's not too unrealistic and far-off holmes' character, though it is a little as you would expect.
I love the way it shows how holmes' analytical mind works, especially the fight scenes.
Was the woman out of sweeney todd or does it just look like her?

Yeah I really enjoyed it and I'm glad that Guy Ritchie directed it because I like most of his work.
I also appreciated that they used some BJJ in the fight scenes.

Went to see it earlier today, a great movie.
(Spoiler)
I loved the usage of surround sound when Holmes and Watson were looking around in the Warehouse at the river, hearing Lord Blackwood's voice come from behind the audience so clearly was just so immersive.
Everything was cleverly executed, I never felt like I was watching a Scooby Doo episode where it was so predictable, I would have never guessed half the stuff that happened was not actually "magic".
(End spoilers)

I already suspected it, being already familiar with Holmes. It's not uncommon for seemingly supernatural events to be shown later to not be supernatural at all in a Holmes story. That element was lifted and used in Scooby Doo, as well. So I had an idea of how a few of the "magic" things worked.

the movie was great in my opinion. everything about it was really good.
the thing that really made me smile was the use of V.A.T.S. in the fighting scenes.

I thought the movie was crazy good. I might of had liked it more than avatar, just because the end wasn't completely predictable.

You would have liked it more if you could predict the plot? Or are you talking about Avatar.
