I got slightly bored while waiting for come things to copy.
So I downloaded pivot & made this.
PLease don't troll it.
It's very rare these days for me to do any animation work at all, let alone pivot.
y'know I was thinking about continuing black vs white. on flash. I'll do it some day, maybe
Anyway.
here it is :

A very basic double kick with terrible motion cam & a very crappy beam.

None of the truly epic people who would spot the flaws in that and troll you are left any more. Just us newbies.

I would say that the effects are awesome, and the fact that you didn't use any real anticipation or followthrough didn't seem to matter because the positions were perfect.

Maybe the beginnings of the charge for the beam should have been behind his body, because it seemed to me that he was facing away from the camera before he turned and used it.

I think the motion camera just about worked, although that he jumps towards the camera and the camera moves back wasn't really obvious until I'd watched it a few times.

However long it's been, you're still way better than any of us in here these days.

Haha thanks man, i looked through your thread & from what I can see, you can do better than this if you tried.
I did enjoy pivot, & i can see massive amount of flaws with this the more I watch it. If you have any questions to help yourself get better then ask away. I dont mind :)

I can't find any flaws with it, it's eaed, perhaps not eased enough, but eased nonetheless. It wasn't stiff and the motion camera good. At least better than what I can do.

If you get pf0 to mentor you... I genuinely don't know how to finish this sentence. Surprise and envy are words that spring to mind, but on a much larger scale.

because you said we could ask:
how did you make(not in your uploaded gif, in the video) that while the stick moved there were such things on his legs and arms which made it look more.. more slowly and kind of smoother
sorry that I can't explain it on another way:Embarrassed:

(in the video there was written "powerfuse" after it)

They were trails. He did slomo but kept the trails there so you knew it was moving fast. Basically you work out where the trails would be if you did the movement at full speed (should finish about where the onionskin was in the previous frame) and then add another ten frames to slow it down.

Hm I don't know. Haha. Sometimes I still wonder if all the people back in the old days came back, how much more I would enjoy this forum and actually pick up animating again. Maybe I'll try again, but it'll never be the same without the old SP mems back :/

They aint coming back.
DoD is into his cinema 4D now, & every other person who hasn't dropped animation all together either moved forum & grew up or moved to the flash section. haha
