If you'll kindly rewind to September 2008, you'll most likely remember my groundbreaking thread, "What the **** is this?":

Well I found out what this is: Programmable Matter

This shit is so awesome. Imagine if this were actually in existence right now. Just the shear amount of shit you could do with it is mind boggling. The 17 month search is finally over, and it was totally worth it.

Wake me when it's fleshlight compatible.

If "programming" is required this seems way more complicated than it's made out to be.

It sounds great, although somewhat difficult to manipulate into anything useful, wouldn't ya say? They described it as being like putty in your hands. Don't know about you, but I can already have putty in my hands, and I've found it largely inefficient for making prototypes of cars.

It would probably be more of a putty in your hands turning into a solid metal object thing.

That'd be cool, but I can't see how it would work really. Like how the putty would know when to be putty and when to be metal. I'm no chemist, it may be possible. If it becomes affordable I'm sure their marketing department will let me know. If not they're fools.
