*The match will officially begin Tuesday (January 19th, 2010). Each contestant will have 3 days to turn in his map. Refer to rules for details.*

The Process:
When both maps are turned in a video will be up showing the process of each map side by side.

Theme
This rounds theme is centered around a survival map for Left4Dead 2 set in any time of the day.

Due Date:
Both maps must be turned in by January 21st at the latest. If both maps are turned in early then voting will begin earlier.

Match Rules
-You are allowed 3 hours to work, and 3 hours only.
-You must finish the map in one sitting.
-You do not have to worry about visuals outside the skybox.
-You are allowed to make compile tests during the 3 hours.
-The map does not need to be optimized. But can if the mapper wishes too.
-You may have other things open including the internet as long as it isn't distracting or in the way. (Music, skybox texture name list, etc are all fine)
-You are only allowed to edit anything in entity setup but only during the period in which you begin mapping.
-You are allowed to release the map after the contest if you feel it's good enough. But only after voting is done and the winner is announced.
-After 3 hours you cannot make changes to the world (map geometry). You can however NAV edit on your own time, but not after you've submitted your map.

I don't see any other mapping sections, do you?
this is about as general as it gets.
