Not bad, some parts look kinda like you hammered through a tutorial and were determined to put it in somehow but thats probably because at some time I've flicked over something that gave a similar result. Anyway, not bad but for webdesign, I'm seeing VERY little to do with it here, unless this is a set of splash-pages, in whic case, you're starting nearer the end.

I'd point you towards standard/recommended sizes for webdesign and layouts but it's been a long time since i did it and I can't find my list or specs. Try making a full webpage with a continued style which is entirly editable via script in photoshop, which takes more than a few files to save it correctly and then throw it up.

those are just the images i pulled out of the websites,
my actual websites suck ass because Im horrible with ordered layouts
and making stuff easily navigable while still being attractive

thats why the first one has so much black, cause I added an intro page so I people could see stuff w/o the picture being square

no tutorials used-- school's super-christian-grade-firewall blocks any and all things that seem usable.
I.E. how to copy visible items and a post them into a new layer (googled it from home yesterday though, because how much I use it in gimp)
I had been just copying all the layers, pasting them, then flattening the selected layers-- which doesn't look all that great
