I wonder if people can animate not only in Flash, Pivot, and Easytoon. There are lots of other programs where you can animate sticks, like Blender, Anime Studio, or Pencil. Why wouldn't we let people animate with other programs?

You can...

It's just not as widely recognized in this community, because their userbase is not large enough to warrant their own section or even a combined misc section.

because they are not popular programs. flash, easytoon, and pivot are.
though i think blender is popular among 3-D modelers and animators.

never heard of pencil i think, but sadly when i draw in it it doesn't look like a pencil like it does on the programs screenshot, so nothing special about pencil.

Pencil is almost the same as Easytoon.
In Blender you can make 3D sticks, I think it would look good.

There was some brief talk of getting a 3D section for the Maya animators (ie. Tawnik and CronosXIII) which no one really opposed but it hasn't actually been suggested to an admin yet. People who use other programmes just put their work in whatever section fits best.

2-D's right. Sticks never look good in 3-D only in 2-D. *Chuckles*
