The new "Step Up" sequel is taking dance to another dimension. The third installment of the hit franchise, "Step Up 3-D" began filming in New York with some new and familiar faces.
The 2006 original starred Channing Tatum, who also made a cameo in the second film, and his real-life girlfriend Jenna Dewan. Tatum isn't expected to appear in the new sequel. Instead, "Step Up 3-D" brings back characters from the sequel ,"Step Up 2: The Streets," as well as some new faces, like Sharni Vinson and Rick Malambri.
The film takes the cast to Paris, France for an international dance competition. But when Moose misses his flight, he'll soon find himself competing in underground Parisian dance championships and against the world's best street dancers.
The first 3-D "Step Up" film is currently scheduled to hit theaters on August 6th, 2010.
