That's right, I'm here to host another fun forum game, which I hope would be successful. Now, this is gonna be a variant of the very fun game, Assassin. You may want to read that as it will make understanding this game much easier. Also, it is a variant because I have made a couple new rules so this game can work in an online forum.
The Rules
Sign ups
First, you must post in this thread to sign up for the game. Sign ups continue til February the 16th at whatever time I feel like closing sign ups. There are some requirements of signing up however.
- You must be able to be online to post every 24 hours. This means people on vacation or going to be on vacation in a few days may not sign up.
- You must be able to follow all the rules and not complain about any part of it. If you have a dispute with another player, do it in this thread, keep it out of whatever thread you were killed in.
- You can't be stupid.
How Game Will Be Run
After signups close, I will randomly arrange the participants in a circle of life and PM each member who their target is. I will not release this image until this game comes to an end however, so no one will know who is targeting them until it's too late. You may only assassinate your target, you cannot assassinate random players of this game. After you have been assassinated, you are eliminated from the game and you may not assassinate or receive targets anymore. I will keep a tab on everyone who is killed, and after all possible kills are made; no one left in the circle is being targeted by someone else left in the circle, I will make a post stating that round two has began, PM all remaining participants their new targets, and create another circle of life for myself to keep track of living and deceased participants. Rounds will continue until only one person is left standing. One more thing. Rounds will last, at a maximum, a week. After that, anyone who has failed to assassinate their target will be eliminated and the next round will be started.
The Act of Assassination
The general goal of the players is to be the last man standing. To do this, you must strive to stay alive and eliminate opposition at the same times. This is how that will work.
When you see a post made by your target in any section except the bat cave, check the time it was posted and the time it is now, located at the bottom of the page. If it has past 30 minutes, the player is now unable to be killed and the post is to be ignored. However, if 30 minutes has not past, you may assassinate the player. To assassinate, make a post quoting the person's post and use this form:
You have been assassinated
THE POST CONTAINING THIS FORM IS THE ONLY OFFTOPIC POST CONCERNING THIS GAME TO BE MADE IN THAT THREAD, UNLESS ANOTHER ASSASSINATION HAS BEEN MADE IN THE SAME THREAD. Don't derail the thread, take any quarreling in here. After that, copy the entire message and post it in this thread. I will cross off the victim in the list of players and in my circle of life. Do not attempt to delete your post to attempt to avoid being assassinated. No one likes cheaters and moderators can see deleted posts anyways.
Miscellaneous
To keep the flow of the game going, every player most post at least once every 24 hours. I will check every player everyday and cross off players who fail to meet that quota. As well, any two players caught arguing outside this thread will be eliminated. And please, make sure to watch the time. I'll check the time the posts were made as best as I can but I would rather not see a bunch of failed assassination posts scattered across the forums.
Well, those are the rules, so just start signing up and we can get this thing started. And I'm sorry about any spam that may occur to the moderators but I ask that you do not shut this down as I have worked pretty hard on it. Also, there is no prize, so this is purely for fun, although I may cook up some kind of signature prize later.
