Hey-o animators of stickpage! i'm REALLY in need of a good tutor, mentor, etc. in the art of animating w/pivot. until i can afford a flash program or (hopefully) it becomes a free thing, i need some sage advice on making good, well-made pivot animations. my 2 current animations (unposted, due to issues uploading) are not only obsenly short and choppy, they dont even use simple pivot elements such as easing, and therfore look terrible. i honestly dont know what to do at this point, and learning this stuff my self or by tutorial is out of the question. (im not very tech oriented.)
i also need to learn how to add graphics e.g. energy beams to my animations. if there are any good teachers out there, please help me, i really wanna be a good animator.

I can't help you at the moment, I'm afraid - I've got three projects to work on and little enough time to begin with.

A lot of people would say that you don't need a mentor. In theory you should be able to post whatever you've made and get constructive criticism from everyone which will help you to improve constantly.

I suppose mentoring can help in a small way if it motivates the mentor to think about you more carefully and give better criticism, but you'd hope that people would cc properly regardless.

Eh, if people want to mentor you and you want to be mentored then it can't hurt. Just make sure you post some work in the open forums anyway since different people will look for different things.
