I started this one with just the head and one arm about 3 months ago, but then i stopped midway because it hadn't come out right. But yesterday i came upon it again and decided to do it justice and finish it.

Far too scribbly.
Chains are horrible, they have no depth nor feel. It's overall shit, no offense. No creases in the clothing, no detail what so ever. It's so ****ing plain.

yeah thats what i have trouble with. i can never get something to turn out clean, it always ends up with skewed outlines and shading. I thought about giving the clothes depth, but i thought that since the outline already had a little too much going on, adding more in the middle would make it seem cluttered. Never really thought about the chains, though, ill work on that.

You should make the outlining more distinct, thicker, even.
It will make it look cleaner.
You really should make light lining before-hand. Erasing mistakes simply. Guarentee'd to make it look far cleaner.
The face, it's caught in the perfect angle, in my opinion.
The neck is too much of a mangled mess, otherwise you could add some nice shading in that and it would look great. The shoulders should curve and look nicer flowing. Take them out, broaden them.
The hat, it's mis-shaped. Work on that.

It's hard to say what's wrong from my point of view, i'm struggling for words in all honesty. I would show you with my own version if i had a working scanner.
