When speaking of the length of a franchise in such a way, you should say so of something like Sonic that no longer makes games that are worth a crap.

View Profile The reason for the change was the company was different: as soon as squaresoft merged with another company to become square enix the battle system changes-see X-2. 12 did not impress me, and from what I've seen and read in 13 it will impress me less. Healing after every battle removes almost all of the need for healing(those who spent a lot of time deep in the high end dungeons for the area know what I mean), and the retry option removes most of the need to save, especially since most bosses wont require more than a try or two, unless the difficulty of the game was SERIOUSLY increased over the others. The cap on growth also sucks. Inability to advance beyond a certain point, depending on where in the storyline SERIOUSLY limits what you can do. I guess no more farming for levels to get to that spell that's just a bit farther than you should ever have a need to be at at any given point in the game to make a boss easier. The real time system was interesting once, but I really do prefer the older one. Easier to work with, and more complex at once, as you aren't able to just sit and block lock enemies to death as you can, for the most part, do in both 10-2 and 12.From what I've read, the entire story is a terribly cliched story that can be predicted long before you actually get anywhere. My prediction: you get kicked out. you find out that things are bad everywhere. find out one or two groups are responsible. and after a lot of walking straight forward pointlessly, you beat them up. the end. All in all, I may try it, but I think I might just be done with the series. Might be time to replay something old again.

View Profile Although with XII, you do have to love the monsters that no matter how strong you are, never seem to get easier. The gambits where ****ing awsome too.
And dont forget whats his face, the strongest boss in the game. (The one where you need to complete every bounty including omega, to vs)
I mean cmon, who doesn't want to spend 8 hours taking down a single monster that has 50million hp.
The only bad thing about final fantasy XII, was a lack of nostalgia.
