Yeah, i noticed how crappy the group thing was going a few days ago. 2,000 seems like a good threshold. lol

1,000 post minimum to create groups. 1,500 post minimum to invite others to join your group (official system invites).

Also, where's the ability to decline/ignore invites? I do NOT wish to join Al Qaeda.

To be honest, I haven't really noticed any correlation between post count and intelligence or decency on this forum. I think it's better to have an approval system instead of the post count requirement. The post count requirement is only meaningful in regards to ad bots when it comes to posting links, as they don't stick around for 20 posts. If we have an approval based system, it will not only prevent people from making groups just because they don't have anything else to do (as I imagine quite a few people do), but also ensure that most groups will hold a certain standard.
Besides, I'd like to be able to make groups:)

I believe that NTF's should be the ones selecting whether or not certain groups are legitimate as they are less busy than mods.

You could also give a few more active and mature members the responsibility of Group moderation.

It's a good way for teams of animators, musicians, and programmers to talk without spamming out the forum with posts.
Also you can get criticism from people who know what they're talking about with a lower possiblility of it being missed

Whatever it is it should happen before we're neck-deep in shitty groups.

Groups would be useful if there were some features other than a separate message board and photo albums (seriously who the fuck is going to post photo albums?).

Hey wait, that gives me an idea.
What if we just glorify some gay ass pivot group so much that all the idiots join it and use the group forum instead of this one? We'd be rid of all the retards and the ones smart enough to notice that everyone there has an IQ in the single digits will probably be remotely bearable. It'd be like a test to weed out all the idiots and keep them in some obscure group forum so that we don't discourage people with real talent from joining.
We could even just treat groups like treads and then we could regulate the people who could partake in the topic. So you could create some group about posting something or other and then if a member wants to join the group who is notorious for ruining topics you can just reject them and the topic is saved.

That suprisingly makes a lot of sense.
