I've been lucky enough to befriend an owner of a studio,
so we ran a few tests with my gear,
tell me how it sounds.

Quality wise, it sounds great. From a musical perspective, I didn't really like it. Didn't really have a solid beat, and it jumped around randomly to different parts. But it was just a studio test, so I'm sure you didn't work too hard on the actual music.

Lol,
yeah I took maybe a day to write it.
It's more meant to see what the studio can capture,
so I threw in every technique I could grasp with my guitar and pushed it in there. I kinda liked a few things I put in there. I was aiming to make it a song at first but then I got lazy and decided that I'll just use this as a test.
Like make the first main part a main part,
I played all Instruments on this btw, guitar drums and bass.
Talking to Serjical Strike about releasing a record over summer.
Btw,
How did my technique sound?
Do I need more feeling? better bends?

I just realized I put this in the wrong section,
if some mod could move this I'd be happy as hell,
but I doubt that'll happen.

It's in the music section... what's wrong with that? Unless it was already moved.

There's a section specifically made for music in community originals now.

Anything wrong with the technique or effects?

The mixing is horrible, tbh. The rhythm guitar sounds way too flat, did you double it? Because if not, try that. Record it twice, pan one hard left and one hard right.

The whole thing sounded a bit flat. Your lead's bass is muddying up the rhythm guitar and the rhythm guitar just sounds like a Slayer Preset

I have no clue what happened at :47 but it wasn't good

Sorry bro

It's a metal setting, so I'll try something a little nicer on the ears.

The :47 thing was a test to see If I could get a clean jazz sound, which seems to have failed.

Ok I'll do that.

As iterated before this was just a test of sound, so all of your guys' comments will be put together when I record my EP later this week.
I'll change some tones,
try something different and re test later tonight,
thanks for the input!

Yeah yeah, it's all very, very muddy. I take it you didn't spend time on mixing and mastering, but please please do that when you record an EP.
The doubling guitars sound is something I once picked up in the studio with a local artist and it's really usefull, broadens the sound and shit.

Yeah, lol I just plugged in and recorded for this.
And I wrote this quickly as a test of sound.

I'm not personally doing the mastering,
I got a willing participant after I played my last gig.
If he doesn't do well I'll personally do it...:P

Is there anything technique wise I could improve?
