I wanna start watching a hell of a lot of movies, but good movies, movies that I should have seen already. I started to download citizen cane and logans run because I've always wanted to see em and I've heard good things but never actually took the time.

So lend me your ideas, your thoughts, and your ears.

Its Citizen Kane, my friend. I thought Logan's Run is only fun if you dont mind a little bit of camp.

What genres are you really into, btw?

Oh what god no, I'm almost the opposite. I would in fact prefer some nice old flicks than these new cliche overly cgi'ed new ones.

Aranofsky's The Fountain sucked quite a bit, but apart from that, his movies are awesome.

Hitchcock has a variety of classics : Psycho, Read Window, Vertigo, Strangers on a Train, Rope, North By Northwest and The Birds are his best movies. But compared to modern thrillers, his other movies like Shadow of a Doubt, Notorious and Dial M for Murder are also classics. Since you dont like Horror movies, I'd advice skipping Psycho and Birds.

I think its a given that every movie buff has to have seen the Godfather movies. I would also throw Scarface, Goodfellas, Once upon a time in America and The Untouchables to the best of that genre.
