So, I was watching Clash of the Titans the other day, and there's this scene where Perseus says something really dramatic (I forget what) and then the camera switches to a close-up of this other guy who's not human, he's all wrinkled and stuff and he has glowing blue eyes- but anyway, he just stares defiantly into the distance and goes:

"Raaaabghlr..."

It struck me as hilarious for some reason. And the thing is, I'm almost certain it was totally unintentional, that the director or whoever did not intend it to be a joke. There were moments like that through the whole movie.

The best kind of humor is where someone's not trying to be funny, where they really just have no idea what they're doing. So you guys got any stories?

There was a movie called Pathfinder with Karl Urban in it. He plays a man who was left behind by the Vikings when they plundered Native Americans (before Colombus arrived). Basically the Vikings comes back to finish the job and plunder the Native American village and Urban is the only man who can stop them (since the law of Hollywood dictactes that only white people can stop other white people). The Native Americans start distrusting him and refuse to help him, so he fights the Vikings on his own, and sets up various traps to get them.

The unintentionally hilarious part was when Urban sets up this ditch-type trap with spikes underneath to lure the Vikings to fall into it. Just as they are about to fall into his trap, the hero's Native American 'friends' suddenly decide to help him (out of the blue), charge forward to attack the Vikings with him.... and they all fall into the trap and die as Urban yells 'Nooooo'.

The entire theatre I was in erupted with laughter.

This is the kind of humor that's almost impossible to get across in retelling though...
Like the other day in History class, or teacher told us some trivia shit about Peter the Great, and he was like "He raised a sort of funny tax and well... I'd have to pay it, for instance" and then the guy sitting next to me just threw in "a dick tax" silently to me, when our teacher was like "the girls wouldn't have to pay it anyway" we started laughing about the coincidence and we really outright lost it when he went like "and I don't think Nicholas would have to pay it either" referring to a guy in class, the coincidence was awesome. It was a tax on beards, by the way. But yeah. Not really funny when you're telling it like this.

That moment in The Ring where they find the girl in the cupboard made me nearly piss myself laughing.

And the child all like

'' WHY DID YOU HELP HER ''

I could just imagine the mother turning around and going

FUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU

So I laughed a bunch more.

I had a similer situation in like 5th grade with the movie Urban Legend. Theres a part where this chick goes into a dark stairwell, and a janitor or something says something to her and she screams and asks "what are you trying to do? scare me to death?" and the janitors like "...duh....". I dont why we found it so funny but we must've spent like 10 minutes just rewinding it, laughing our asses off.

I lol'd hard. That is so true.

Another part in that same movie was when the non-human guy and Perseus are fighting Medusa. He lets himself get caught in her snake tail, then he EXPLODES. LITERALLY ****ING EXPLODES, with a bunch of blue fire and shit coming out and blowing her tail off. I know it's supposed to be a sad moment, self-sacrifice and all that, but I was too busy cracking up.
