The Proposal:
So as you all are probably aware the current Stick Page Preloader is quite old and just a little out of fashion in comparison to the way the site is currently laid out. That being said I think it would be good if we as a community put together to propose a new design. These proposed design do not need to be finished preloaders; these designs can be rough ideas sketched out on paper, drawn in flash, illustrator, photoshop or even on toilet paper.

The goal of this collaboration is to come to a consensus on a new design that everyone is in favor of and then we can work on finalizing the details and making a workable public preloader to download. At this point there are no commitments or strings attached so feel free to submit as many designs as you'd like.

Even though i don't know scripts? >.>

Well what I would like to see is something not sloppy. But something attention getting. Like with a glow of some sort. Maybe the bar can be a neon green.

We need like.... a new logo

oohh... i thought we we're making entrys our self and then voting for who's is better in the end. Well, it should have crazy jay in a small epic sword fight after the preloading is done.

That is basically what we are doing.

Oh... hmm. I hope i'll be able to help if not, human resources has brought me down.

We can put in the neon Sacred was suggesting. Also, the background(Light grey) Is pretty dull. Change it to a cheerful one. <- I'm thinking of a glowing blue.

Obviously this will not be the final product. I'm just going to use this as sort of a starting place. Then people can suggest changing something up, and I'll do so to see if it looks good.

So are we just supposed to make the design for it? Because I don't know anything about actionscript or making an actual preloader, but I could make a design in photoshop.

edit: I'm not a fan of neon, btw. It's going to be very difficult to incorporate neon into the design and have it still look somewhat professional.

The ironic part is that your name is like the same color of that preloader.

Anyway like I said, we're not going to use that one. Obviously over time all the suggestions put together will make some type of final idea that someone can create. I just wanted to use that picture as a sort of starting point.

Ok first a few notes on the proposal.

I would shift down the "logo" slightly so that the text is more centered and the bar would much thinner and not bold.

The name will not be changed.
An intro would be nice but I doubt we will have one anytime soon.
I would be grateful for any help with animation if there is going to be anything besides bars and eyes... possibly headband.

Oh and it is a scanned image of printing paper with tracing paper on top of it.
That is why the image is yellow and you can see the tape which has pencil all over it.


Made the edits I was talking about:

I suggest sprucing the "tickpage" part up abit. Instead of just having the letters sitting there all perfectly parralel, ect.

And/or have the letters fall from the sky into place or something like that.

Feel free to photoshop onto the image if you want to depict what you are talking about.
I understand the falling letters from the sky bit, but you can do whatever you want to customize it.
