Yeah, this is total bullshit.
http://www.tomsguide.com/us/RIAA-MPAA-Illegal-downloads-Torrent,news-6496.html

Big Brother is watching you. Actually, it's the RIAA and the MPAA, especially if you're parked on a BitTorrent client. The Electronic Frontier Foundation reports that both organizations--along with a few others--want to take the file-monitoring process a huge step further by infiltrating consumer PCs and deleting the infringing content off their hard drives. How? Through "anti-infringement" spyware developed and enforced by the government.

This isn't China. Sorry.

That's not the government. That's just the entertainment industry. And of course they do.

1. They won't. It's a ridiculous thing to do.
2. They aren't "stealing." They're taking back. You're the one stealing. Stop acting like you're the righteous one.
3. You don't know anything.
4. You wouldn't be able to do anything if they did anything because you don't know anything, which is irrelevant because they won't do anything. You think they will because you don't know anything.

Ad Hominem- I see this one a lot. An Ad Hominem argument is any that involves attacking the person instead of addressing the issues brought up by that person. In essence, this is a technical term for flaming. An example would be to say that any wrestling fan is an idiot for believing that the whole thing is staged, even if the person they're attacking stated that they don't actually think wrestling is real.

I'm pretty sure I'm not a hammerass retard. If I didn't know anything I wouldn't be here. Or alive.
And who said I was acting like the 'righteous' one? Damn straight I'd do something if the RIAA busted the **** into my computer. You'd do something, too.
Technically, they'd be stealing, too. Theft defines the act of taking someones property without their freely-given consent. And I damn well wouldn't tell the RIAA to go take shit from my computer.

That's his point. The files they remove would be illegally downloaded. They would not be your property. It would be their stolen property that they were recovering.
