12 fps is fine. I animate at 12 fps. bigger fps doesn't mean bigger dick, people.
just do 24 fps with double framing (12 fps), and when things are really fast and need more clarity or "look choppy" then single frame it (24 fps).
edit: this was done in 24 fps. the sad guy is 100% 12 fps and the happy guy is 12 fps except when his leg is moving super fast, which is single framed to make it clear.

I could but I want it to be smoother and I feel that I have at least a shred of potential so I should start making better things, I'd suppose. Any CnC?

did you read my post? You can smoothen your animations with easing and fluid motion and all that shit. You don't need or have any necessity more fps unless it's a fast action. Why can't people understand this?
